活火山として知られるアメリカ・ハワイ島のキラウエア火山で大きな噴火がありました。
アメリカ地質調査所によりますと、噴き上がった溶岩は最大で約400メートルに達しています。
アメリカ国立気象局は噴火による噴煙が海抜約9000メートルに達したと報告し、降灰警報を発令しました。
この影響でキラウエア山頂周辺と高速道路の一部が閉鎖されています。
